Chic Italian dining at Alloro Ristorante

How about a chic, quiet Italian dinner? Alloro Ristorante will make the right choice. Although not very Italian in it’s appearance, this trendy spot at Wyndham Dubai Marina offers some of the most authentic Italian dishes including pasta, risotto, tiramisu and of course, burrata.

Chef’s Burrata

I have noticed, more often than not, a burrata keeps propping upon my feed, each creamy blob bringing with it a whole new experience of texture, flavor and it’s own creative twist. Such was this Burrata at Alloro. Although not made in house, the burrata was fairly creamy. And while I love the rocket and tomato base with balsamic dressing, the presence of asparagus added a bite.

Antipasti platter

This one lets you choose 5 items from a selection of different cold cuts and veggies. I liked the smoked pepperoni and marinated mushrooms the most.

Lamb Ossobuco

This was the highlight of our meal. Supremely delicious the saffron risotto was the creamiest, most comforting one I’ve ever had. And the braised lamb shank was so tender, it melted with every bite.

Penne Carbonara

There’s a reason why classics always work and this pasta is almost there. Almost because I found it slightly dry. A little more sauce would’ve been great. However, I really appreciated the chef replacing turkey bacon to chicken on our request.

Tiramisu

OMG! So creamy, so dreamy, so smooth, so delicious, this is one dessert that needs to be on your must have list. I would go back to Alloro Ristorante just for this Tiramisu.

Nutella Ravioli

Although I expected this to be a lot more chocolaty, the sides of the pasta were rather dry and chewy. The cream and berry compote on the side though, bliss!
