Just Salad? Yes, but with a lot of game!
Too much food can sometimes get too heavy. So it’s important to balance all that rich indulgence with something that’s not only healthy but tasty as well. Keeping up with this balancing act, I decided to end last week on a healthy note – with Just Salad.
Located in one of the most happening corporate hubs of Dubai – Bay Square, Business Bay – this compact salad eatery is more than what meets the eye. Yes, they have some elements that you would find in every salad salon like create your own salads, convert your salad to a wrap, etc., but then there are other aspect that make it every bit unique; like the wide variety of fresh leafy base and the deliciously extensive collection of house made dressings – one for every taste.

Just Salad is not just salads. They also offers soups, smoothies, sips and snacks. Moreover, as a part of their values, Just Salad promises high quality, healthy food in a quick and responsible manner. This means their menu is designed with calorie conscious and nutritious flavor combination that are rich in fiber, protein and vitamins. All their proteins are sustainable, like grass-fed beef, antibiotic-free eggs, humanely-raised chicken and more. Their greens and locally sourced, delivered fresh every day and served either raw, roasted, baked or steamed. No more oil!
The salad/wrap menu at Just Salad is divided into four parts – Awesome, Value, Health & Seasonal. Their choices are so many, and so tempting, it’s difficult to pick just one. I would have loved to try one of each, but their portions are so generous, it was best I reserved the rest for the next visit.
Pesto Chicken Paradise
Pesto Chicken Paradise from their Awesome Menu was a must for me because of my never ending love for pesto. As soon as I saw this on their menu, I knew I had to try it. Plus it turned out to be a bestseller!
This salad came with a base of Romaine lettuce, tossed with pesto chicken, sundried tomatoes, broccoli, red onions and fresh mozzarella. It was all mixed with a homemade pesto vinaigrette dressing. Omg, I loved biting into those fresh mozzarella pieces.
Shrimp El Paso Grill
I chose the Shrimp El Paso Grill from their Seasonal Menu for their shrimps! Obviously. Also with a base of Romaine lettuce tossed with grilled shrimps, this salad brought along Mexican flavors with cherry tomatoes, black beans, corn, crunchy onions and cheddar cheese.
Drizzled with lots of Chipotle vinaigrette, the icing on this cake came in the form of freshly sliced creamy avocados.
Vitamin C Kick
It couldn’t be all food and no drink. So sticking to my love for coconut, I chose the Vitamin C Kick from their Just Smoothie Bar. This one featured a blend of coconut milk with fresh orange, mango and pineapple. Super creamy and super smooth!
