Food Ka Mood | Karama

A few days back I was it is the newly opened restaurant in Karama.

Specialising in an abundant variety of fruit juices, this Vegetarian restaurant offers a delicious twist on some classic Indian street fare.

keeping up with the speciality of the restaurant we started with two from the endless variety of fresh juices and milkshakes.

Gypsy came with a mix of mosambi, lemon and raw mango, while Paris Peppy featured a blend of passionfruit, orange and pineapple.

We then moved on to what is called the best seller at the restaurant. An absolute must have, Red Marbles brings together corn and veggie balls in a tomato and cheese gravy. What a burst of flavors!

Being a mad lover of pesto, I had to try the pesto garlic bread. Topped with pesto sauce and cheese, the texture of the bread was so good, I was almost inclined to order another portion.

However, in honor of the variety they offered, we went with Burmese Khowsuey. A warm and comforting coconut broth topped with noodles, spring onions, peanuts, caramelised onions and toasted coconut, this was brilliance in a bowl, really! I loved the rich texture, the mingling of flavours and textures, and the filling portion.

Our next main course sat closer to home in the form of Kali Mirch Pav Bhaji. Offering a peppery taste, the bhaji was accompanied with onions, chilli garlic chutney and pav. The bread continued to impress and the chutney truly added a spicy kick.

Finally it was time for dessert, but being quite full at this point we decided to go for two half sized desserts. The first one was a classic Oreo shake filled with chocolatey goodness. For the second option we decided to go fruity with a mix of custard apple and mangoes in Sona Chandi.

What I really loved about this place is the insight it gave into vegetarian food being not just an option or a section of the menu button entire meal in itself. And an entire meal filled with flavors, textures and an endless lineup of choices across cuisines.

The price point is fair given the portion of the dishes. I loved the red marbles and khow suey. Plus their drinks are such a surprise. I will go back to try their dosa variety and a lot more from the menu.
