Original Wings & Rings | DIFC
How hot can you go? Original Wings & Rings in DIFC really challenges you to test your heat intake ability with this delicious wings that can be paired with one of the many sauces, with a varying heat level from mild, hot, extra hot, atomic, all the way to their signature 1 million hot sauce. But contrary to its name, this DIFC eatery is not just about wings, but a lot more.
We decided to visit Original Wings & Rings on a weekday evening and were really impressed with their expansive space and expansive menu. To start our dinner, we decided to indulge in some nachos and some bread with dip. The nachos loaded with buffalo chicken were brilliant. I have always loved buffalo sauce paired with boneless chicken, so this was a big win win for me. And the portion was great too, making it ideal for sharing between friends. The spinach and artichoke dip was really good, but I didn’t quite like the toasties that came on the side. They weren’t as crunchy as I expected them to be, but rather felt a little soggy. I would recommend them to serve this with tortilla chips instead which would make a much better side.
Next up was th”e main deal – their wings. What type of chicken wings are your favorite? Mine are the boneless ones, lathered in spicy sauce, but my plus one prefers bone-in, and with milder flavors. Thank God then, that ORW offered a choice between traditional, breaded or boneless wings, that can be paired with one of their 12 different sauces from the milder flavors like garlic parmesan to the pungent ones like classic buffalo or crazy sauce. And since we tried a little of everything, we got to pick two different wing styles, 4 different flavors and 2 different heat levels.
For the traditional wings, my plus one chose buffalo and garlic parmesan flavors, both medium hot. But me being me, I went with boneless wings in extra hot lemon pepper and crazy sauce flavors. While the sauces and spiciness was on point, I personally felt I could have gone one step higher in terms of the heat level. I found the traditional wings slightly hard, but they were alright.
To balance all the spice, we also sipped on some pina colada and frozen mango margarita – both of which were great in terms of quantity and flavor. And in a classic American style, we ended our meal with a chocolate based dessert – chocolate fondant. I have always loved the lava styled chocolate cakes and this too was simply fab. Highly recommend you don’t give their drinks and dessert a miss.

Serving a lot more than just wings and and rings, this DIFC eatery offers a variety of salads, all time favorite appetizers, some really good burgers, and a lot more TexMex food. A great place to hang out after work, Original Wings & Rings also offers Zomato Gold benefits on drinks and has a really good brunch too. I will certainly be going back to try their boneless buffalo wings in the signature 1 million hot sauce, and hopefully live to tell the tale.
