Hello Kitty! Last week I tried my hands at making some colorful soaps with the #bubblelish workshop at Hello Kitty Spa in Dubai. Offering a variety of different activities like basic soap, bath bombs, coffee scrub, sugar scrub, salt scrub and slime, with up-size options and mani-pedi packages, this one’s a great choice for mother-daughter bonding, kid’s parties or unwinding with your besties.

We started with soap making where I was asked to choose my mold (I chose Hello Kitty face) and the colors and fragrances I would prefer for my soaps. The first step was to chop the plain soap base into smaller pieces, and then melt them in the microwave. I was making two batches. For the first one, I went with purple color and peppermint fragrance. For the second one, I went with blue color and mandarin fragrance along with a dash of glitter. After mixing these well, I poured it into the mold – 3 soaps each – and then placed them inside the fridge to set.

While the soaps were setting, I went it to the salon was a quick manicure and was it brilliant or what?! I was given a robe while I relaxed and got my nails cleaned, filed and painted. Once that was over, my soaps were ready too and the salon attendant neatly packed them up for me in gift boxes.
