Walnut Grove | Dubai Mall
Walnut Grove recently opened doors at The Dubai Mall and calling this place a must visit is an understatement. With gorgeously elegant interiors that give you a peek to The Dubai Mall waterfalls, and an expansive outdoor terrace that boasts unparalleled views of the Burj Khalifa, Walnut Grove offers one of the best dining spaces across the mall.
And of course, the food. We were thrilled with the menu options that covered everything from breakfast and appetizers to salads, sandwiches, burgers, pasta and grills. And their desserts are not to be missed either. With a scrumptious selection of milk cake, cheesecake and everything cake, you’re sure to discover a new found love for sweet stuff. Their drinks menu is quite endless too. From hot coffee and tea selection to cold mocktails and frozen drinks, every little bit about this place is sure to impress. Grapefruit & Pineapple Margarita + Watermelon Granita
While the granita was a refreshing blend of watermelon juice with ice, the margarita brought in a kick of flavors with its chili flakes garnish. I would really love for them to add a similar margarita with passion fruit flavors.
Zucchini Fries
Zucchini is taking over everything – from zoodles to zucchini fries – and these were simply wow! I loved the lightly fried crunchy texture and the salsa verde mayo drizzle. Must have!
Cosanostra Chicken Salad
Quite clearly, one of the best salads I’ve had in a while, this had everything you need to make it a complete meal. The good thing about these salads is that they come in two portion sizes. So you can choose the one person portion for yourself, or go for the large one if you’re sharing. All the ingredients in this salad were so fresh, it was like eating from farm to table. I was so impressed with the salad, I want to go back and try all the other salads on their menu.
Walnut Truffle & Chicken Carbonara
Such an interesting take on the classic carbonara, this signature pasta features absolutely al dente fettuccine with chicken breast, dotted with lots of crispy maple glazed bacon. That sauce though, was simply exceptional. Wild mushrooms, crushed walnuts and cracked black pepper added so much character to this truffle infused creamy garlic sauce, you’ll want to lick every last drop off the plate.
Beef Fillet Trio
We ordered this medium well, and to be honest, we didn’t expect the portion to be that big. The perfectly grilled fillet was served on a bed of roasted veggies with crispy sweet potato chips on top. From the three sauces on the side – salsa verde mayo, African chakalaka chili and Peppadew pesto – the pesto was my fav.
Peppermint Tea
We were too full for one of their famous cakes. But that didn’t stop us from trying this tiny tea cake along with a soothing cup of peppermint brew.

There is nothing I did not like at Walnut Grove. But I do know what I loved the most of them all – the salad! I know there are a lot of different salad options out there, but if you really want to make a meal out of it, then this is the place to go to. I know I am definitely going back to try them all. And no matter how much I try, my heart keeps going back to the desserts I saw in their counter. I want to try them all too, but let’s just do it one at a time. Here’s to many more visits to this beautiful restaurant on the largest mall in the world. Don’t forget to stop by at this lovely spot near the waterfalls on your next visit to The Dubai Mall.
