800 Degree Neapolitan Pizzeria | Mall of the Emirates

Known for their customized pizzas, burrata and variety of pasta options, 800 Degrees is not your regular pizzeria. Featuring an all black and white interior space with expansive seating that opens out into the mall corridors, this restaurant draws in the crowds through its ‘bread baking in the oven’ fragrance.

800 degrees Neapolitan pizzeria

We were at 800 Degrees for a quiet midweek dinner and we pretty much got back with happy tummies and food that lasted us the next day too!

Customized Pizza

Each pizza is custom made with your choice of base, pizza sauce and toppings. This means you can go crazy adding your most classic or creative combination of toppings from meat, veggies, different types of cheese, spices, herbs and more!

Of course, if you’re not in the mood to pick your own toppings, you can choose from one of their specialty pizzas as well. Once ready, each pizza goes inside their signature oven and takes a very short time to get all baked up.

800 degrees Neapolitan pizzeria

Very thin and certainly quite light, the pizza was baked to perfection. It started with Neapolitan crust, followed by a Margherita base and was topped with shrimps, grilled chicken, mushrooms, roasted garlic, green peppers and parmesan. We did go crazy with the protein choice by mixing chicken and shrimps, but kept the rest of it quite classic. What I loved the most about this pizza was how fresh the ingredients were. Moreover, you could really taste every item individually.

Blue Frappe & Passion Fruit Tomato Mojito

More than anything else, I loved the color of the Blue Frappe. Made with blueberries, and strawberries, this sweet creamy drink doubled up as a dessert. A very refreshing, albeit unique combination of flavors, the passion fruit tomato mojito was one of the best mojitos I’ve had in a while. I loved the tanginess of lemon and the slight tart flavor of tomatoes.

Burrata with Cherry Tomatoes + Pesto

Burrata. By now I’m sure everyone knows I can never not order Burrata. This being their speciality was quite an undisputed order. While they have 3 types of Burrata, we went with Cherry Tomatoes + Pesto. The burrata was beyond brilliant, and the home made pesto sauce just perfect. I loved the side bread for nicely balancing the creamy cheese and rich pesto.

Patate Al Forno

How could something so gorgeous come out of 5 simple ingredients? Roasted potatoes come together with olive oil, garlic, parsley and parmesan in this Patate Al Forno. A great side if you’re having meat as your main.

Caesar Salad

Although me and my plus ones are both big fans of Caesar Salad, this one was a slightly off for me, mainly because the chicken had a slight fishy taste to it. Also, the lettuce could have been crunchier, but was a little too soggy.

Penne Arabbiata

One of the classics done just right, this Penne Arabbiata is quite a must have if you’re a fan of red sauce pasta. The rich tomato infused with garlic and chili adds a spicy kick to the al dente penne making it so comforting.

#RashidaReviews

While 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria is known for their customized pizza concept, they offer a lot lot more in terms of food and drinks. We loved the burrata, roasted potatoes, pasta and of course our customized pizza. But above all, we loved the portion sizes! The Caesar salad could’ve been less fishy in taste. The drinks menu is quite impressive. Going back soon for their gelato!
