One of the toughest decisions I face everyday is deciding on what to have for lunch. Thankfully, some delivery only restaurants with multiple kitchens deliver delicious food all across the city. One such place is Yawmi. We ordered Yawmi for lunch on a lazy Saturday afternoon and the food filled us with joy. Dishes prepared with high quality ingredients and served in generous portions is what impressed us the most.
We ordered two dishes among the three of us, and needless to say they were quite filling for all of us.
The first dish was Chicken Escalope. Fried and filling, this dish came with hormone free chicken fillets that were breaded and fried to a crispy outer, tender inner finish. The steak cut fries on the side made the perfect carb accompaniments. We also ordered a side fattoush salad that came with crunchy khubz pieces and a rich balsamic dressing. The quantity of this dish was way more than my appetite. It is a great option for two people.
Next up was Djej Batata. This box came with succulent baked chicken pieces that were marinated overnight in a lemony sauce and served along with baked potato slices. The marinade with its tangy flavors, when paired with the tender meat, made this dish simply fab. This dish I could have eaten all by myself. It was really that good. It’s a great option if you’re looking for healthy proteins, and if you miss the carbs, this also comes with Arabic bread on the side.
Our dishes came along with a side of indulgence in the form of Biscuit Au Chocolat and Lemon Yogurt Sponge Cake. While I loved the cakey chocolate dessert, the lemon sponge cake was okay.

While I loved both the chicken dishes, the baked chicken with potatoes was closer to my heart than the escalope. The tender baked meat covered in lemon marinade was more than perfect and really light. The biscuit au chocolat was great, but the lemon sponge cake was just fair.
