The view that got us swooned – 3rd Avenue Cafe
How would you like to start your weekend with a view of Burj Khalifa and this breakfast spread on your table? That’s what you can experience at 3rd Avenue Cafe.
Located at the first level of Fashion Avenue at The Dubai Mall, this stylish cafe boasts of elegant interiors and gorgeous outdoors – complete with views of the Dubai Mall fountains and the mighty Burj Khalifa. We decided to make the most of these last few ‘cooler’ days and parked ourselves on an outdoor table overlooking Souk Al Bahar and Downtown Lake.
Karak & Pina Colada
Our breakfast spread started with a classic Karak for my date and a not so common pina colada for myself. The drinks were both perfect in taste and texture. I obviously wanted to cool down with something chilled, and what better than a glass of coconut creme? The karak on the other hand was quite the stunner. I really liked its presentation and those little biscuits that came along with it.
Shakshuka
What followed was their bestselling shakshuka (recommended by Nadia). I loved this one the most, mainly for its spicy tomato base. And make sure you ask for more of those house bread servings. They go just right with the shakshuka.
Scrambled Eggs on Toast
Quite the typical, perfect breakfast you would want to comfort yourself with, this egg serving came along with chicken sausages, mushrooms and beef bacon.
Colorful Cheese Omelette
This was the most wholesome omelette I have ever seen. Truly colorful, this one came with a generous side of broccoli, mushrooms, pineapple pieces and greens.
French Toast
Breakfasts, as I’ve seen in so many places, are not quite complete without something sweet. To check this box, we ordered a portion of their french toast drizzled with sweet syrup and served with strawberries and bananas. Loved this one.

Summary
This place is a must visit for the views during winters, although summers could get really hot if you are seated al fresco. I really hope they add some coolers out there. The indoor seating is quite stylish, so don’t give this place a miss during the summers either.
I loved their Shakshouka. That one is a must have, especially with their house bread. And don’t worry if you are not a morning person. Their lunch and dinner menu has quite good options too. You are sure to find something you like on it.
