Raapchik? No, this is WrapChic!
It’s chic, it’s Mexican, it’s Indian, and it’s a wrap! WrapChic offers a fresh take on Mexican Indian fusion fare with its compact menu that caters to Indian food lovers with a soft spot for Tex-Mex cuisine.
We visited this casual dining spot’s JLT branch last evening and were quite happy with everything we ate. Read on to find out more about what we tried.
Prawns Amritsari Burrito Bowl
The highlight! We chose pulav rice & black beans for this WrapChic favorite and I honestly didn’t know whether I should call it a burrito bowl or North Indian curry rice. The prawns were fantastic.
Chicken Mughlai Burrito
Honestly too big for a bite, I suggest they make it slimmer in width but longer in length. We chose tomato rice & red beans for this one. If they are open to customization, I would prefer the burrito with less rice and more sauce. The chicken was simply brilliant!
Mutton Hyderabadi Quesadilla
Almost like a Kheema Naan, this WrapChic quesadilla was as perfect for dinner as it would be for breakfast. Stuffed with cheesy spicy mince, the portion was more than generous for one person. Plus, thanks to it’s sandwich like form it was so easy to eat – no mess!
Wrapchos
Reminded me of the movies! Only difference – these were much much better. For half of what you would pay at the cinemas, these side nachos come with all the basics – queso, salsa, jalapenos, even sour cream + additional dips. I strongly suggest WrapChic guys to sign a contract with the cinemas and open up shop to sell these Wrapchos for the movies instead of those overpriced plain nachos!
Coconut & Mango Lassi
To put it in one word: DREAMY. Truly, both the lassi flavors at Wrapchic were smooth, creamy and just the right amount of sweet. But I guess they could be slightly difficult to down with all that food on the side. Have them as is if you must, but as a side they rather be less dense.
Mango Jarritos
Quite famous in Mexican diners, this makes the perfect accompaniment to burrito n guac!

Hearty portions, delicious food and friendly service is everything you can find at WrapChic. Fusion is being used almost everywhere in Dubai these days, but few know how to carry it well. These guys are one of them. They literally bring you the best of Indian cuisine in Mexican styled dishes. Like Pulav rice for Burritos, Hyderabadi Kheema in Quesadillas, Mughlai Chicken and much more.
Make sure you try one of their dishes with Prawns Amritsari, along with a Coconut or Mango lassi.
