The upscale French brunch – Brasserie Quartier at St. Regis
Nothing spells sheer opulence as much as The St. Regis Dubai does. This beautiful property brings out the ultimate magical Winter Wonderland, right in the heart of Dubai. So much so, that it can rightly be termed as the true embodiment of an elegant White Christmas within the desert. Borrowing much of its grandeur from the original St. Regis in New York, the hotel welcomes you to witness its magnificence in the form of sparkling marble flooring, a high central dome that holds a crystal chandelier and luxurious sweeping staircase, that lead you to its signature French restaurant – Brasserie Quartier.
To mark the start of the season festivities, we treated ourselves to the pre-Christmas Versailles Evolution Brunch at BQ that celebrates France’s rich culinary heritage in a classic brasserie ambience with a refined menu that’s designed to transport your palate to the capitals of Europe in every bite.
Take a look at some glimpses from the Versailles Evolution Brunch at Brasserie Quartier in St. Regis.
As soon as you enter the restaurant, you are welcomed with a glass of sparkling orange drink that sets the perfect tone for the French culinary marvel that will follow.
The interiors in Brasserie Quartier are decked with mannequins, keeping in sync with the high end fashion in Paris and highlighting famous brands from across Europe. Take a look and tell me which brands you recognize!
Carving Station
Who’s up for some roasted turkey?
The Versailles Evolution Brunch at Brasserie Quartier in St. Regis offers all the holiday tidbits you love, complete with trimmings and colorful winter vegetables. What’s interesting is that this is just one part of their extensive offerings. Read on for a more.
BQ Brunch Loaf
While most brunches revolve around a self serve only buffet setting, The Versailles Evolution Brunch is all kind of surprises. One of them was this beautiful BQ brunch loaf made from homemade sourdough rye bread stuffed with cheese and caramelized onions.
Delicious soft on the top, and crunchy as you break it down, this one was a great alternative to the usual carbs. Along with the bread came a two pieces each of duck croquette and mushroom arancini. The arancini was out of this world.
Mains
Another part of the brunch at Brasserie Quartier in St. Regis was the selection of mains. While they offered an option between fish, beef and vegetarian, I sort of wished there was some poultry too.
My partner opted for Braised Beef Cheeks that came with winter vegetables, horseradish and crispy onions.
I decided to go veg and choose the Cauliflower Cannelloni that was filed with Romanesco and Creme cheese and garnished with hazelnuts. I definitely found the Cannelloni to be a better choice of the two. And after all who says no to cheese and hazelnuts!
Desserts
The Versailles Evolution Brunch at BQ is dessert heaven, really! Moreover, with Christmas just around the corner, the offerings just get sweeter.
Apart from the pretty cakes, petite cupcakes, delicious tiramisu and indulgent brownies, they also have macaroons and an irresistible double chocolate fountain – complete with marshmallow bouquets, strawberry sticks and more!
Which one would you say is your favorite dessert?

Summary
Offering an upscale and sophisticated feel, the BQ brunch is perfect for those who want to celebrate a Friday like it was the best day of their lives. Priced a little on the higher side (AED 350 for a soft drinks package), this one might be something you would want to reserve for a special occasion rather than a regular Friday.
