Lovin’ My Mosa @ Hangry Hangar
Last weekend we checked out the indoor food truck concept in Dubai – Hangry Hangar. Located at Warehouse 4 in Al Quoz, this place exudes a chilled out vibe with its industrial look, stand-up comedy gigs, food kiosks, upper deck seating and more. Close to Al Serkal Avenue, Hangry Hangar is a little secret amidst Dubai’s warehouse district. For the love of everything Desi, we walked straight towards the My Mosa stall at the venue.
These guys pack quite a punch in terms of their menu. You could be limited into thinking they offer only samosas, but they do good with a variety of sliders and sides too.
Here’s what we tried
* Butter Chicken Mosas
* Mixed Jamaican Beef Mosa, Chipotle Chicken Mosa and Wild Mushroom & Truffle Mosa
My fave, without a doubt was the wild mushroom & truffle mosa. How can you possibly resist anything truffle anyway! My only disappointment, I didn’t choose to go for a 3-piece portion of this flavor.
* Corn Chaat: quite healthy if you ask me!
* Mosa loaded fries: topped with pulled butter chicken
* Chipotle Chicken Sliders: with fresh and hot slider buns!
* Blueberry Lassi: quite creamy, although an uncommon choice of fruit for lassi, this one tasted more like blueberry yogurt. I would’ve preferred chilled mint lemonade instead (it’s on the menu, it just wasn’t available when we went).
A 3-piece mosa portion costs AED 20 and a 2-piece slider portion AED 30. But you can upgrade both to a combo with a choice of sides & drinks for AED 40. They also have Nutella Mosas that I’ve heard lots about, but unfortunately couldn’t try.
Overall, these Mosas are quite the bomb. Crunchy little versions of regular samosas, with fillings that impress, these are worth a try. The sliders are great too, so if you’re going with a group of friends (which you should), order a little of everything and share!
Hangry Hangar will run until the end of August, and is open everyday.
