Get Yourself Checked | Breast Cancer Awareness – October 2013
6 October 2013
It’s been over a month since she left, but it feels like just yesterday that I went back home from work to see her smiling face, waiting for me with a cup of tea in her hands, and her words “How was your day?” that relieved all my stress.
That day will never come back.
I personally don’t think there should be just one month to do so, but since all the awareness campaigns heighten during October, I would strongly advise all women out there to get themselves checked for Breast Cancer.
I would also advise the guys to encourage their mother, sisters, girlfriend, wife, daughters, friends and loved ones to get these check ups done.
Some might find these tests scary, but what we fail to realize is that ignorance doesn’t solve anything. It only makes matters worse. And the reality ends up being much more scarier. Regular check ups will do no harm. They will only save you and your family from a lonely and painful future.
Let’s take a pledge this month to educate those who are ignorant, help those who cannot afford, pray for those who have lost the battle against cancer and support those who are fighting even today.
